Make your voice heard on issues important to students
Mecklenburg Youth Voice is looking for you! All high school students are invited to join Mecklenburg Youth Voice, a growing coalition of high school students providing a youth voice to government leaders. MYV is sponsored by Kids Voting and CMS, and is funded in part through a Front Porch Grant (a project of Crossroads Charlotte and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Community Foundation).

MYV's 2007-2008 projects included:
- Encouraging student voice
- Co-hosting October 2007 Candidate Forum for Youth featuring school board candidates
- Meeting with CMS Superintendent Peter Gorman and other leaders to discuss and provide input about issues relevant to students (including: school discipline, budgets, 4x4 schedule, athletic eligibility, etc.)
- Attending and speaking at school board meetings
- Advising Kids Voting's programs and participating in community service efforts
